Description

LWD is an autonomous Cambodian NGO whose mission is to work with target groups to respond to their needs in the community through long-term community development works in 325 villages, 45 communes, 9 districts of 4 provinces. The specific target groups in the communities are: ID Poor 1 & 2 households, identified by the RGC’s ID Poor system and dataset; Poorest households, not included in the RGC’s ID Poor system; Women and Women headed households; Children & Youth; People with disability and Ethnic minority. LWD is currently implementing 3-year Programme Document against 2015 – 2020 Country Strategy; the programme is called Empowerment Toward Self-Reliant Programme (ESRP). It covers the following four Strategic Objectives with relevant variety-set of Outputs and key activities which will promote and build on our existing strengths: (1) Good governance; (2) Livelihood Development; (3) DRR & Climate Change; (4) Organizational Development.

Description of actual services for the assignment:

The firm provided consultancy services for reviewing the Country Strategy for Life With Dignity, providing the literature review on the up-to-date information relative to social nature and politics of development, collecting data from the community to national and international level, and then providing adjustments and recommendations for the LWD Country Strategy Plan.

Specific method and approaches:

  • The study is almost qualitative and in-depth interview, interview 34 donors, 18 key staff within LWD, and subnational stakeholders focus group discussion.
