Impact Comparative Study on Integrated Nutrition, WASH, and ECCD Programs

  

YDRC provided consultancy on Comparative Impact Study on integration of Nutrition, WASH, and ECCD program. 

Plan International Cambodia is currently implementing Nutrition, ECCD and WASH programs in all four target provinces: Siem Reap, Tboung Khmum, Ratanak Kiri and Stung Treng. In some villages, communes and districts the fully integrated programs of these three programs (Nutrition, ECCD and WASH) is implemented, while the other villages, communes and districts have only two integrated programs among these three programs (e.g., Nutrition and ECCD, Nutrition and WASH or ECCD and WASH), and some villages, communes and districts have only stand-alone program (e.g., Nutrition, ECCD or WASH) is implemented


Description of actual services for the assignment:

- Design study protocol, review data      collection tool, and develop data management software;

- Submit study protocol to the      National Ethics Committee for Health Research (NECHR) for clearance;

- Conduct training to data      collectors to ensure the quality of field data collection;

- Lead data collection, data      cleaning and analysis;

- Analysis and writing report to      present to stakeholders

- Finalize comparative impact study      report to Plan International

Inclusive Markets for Smallholder Farmers Project, Value Chain approach and value based holistic community development

Heifer International Cambodia is applying the Pro-Poor Wealth Creating Value Chain approach, a combination of Value Based Holistic Community Development and Value Chain approaches to address issues of food security and nutrition, poverty, gender inequality, health, environment and climate change adaptation in the lives of the families we serve. The Inclusive Market for Smallholder Farmers Project will be implemented by applying the above approach that aimed to assist 35,000 smallholder farmer families through working in partnership with nine local NGOs/CBOs partners and in collaboration with relevant government agencies and other NGOs. The project implementation will cover 12 provinces in Cambodia from 2018 to June 2021. The purpose of this baseline survey is to establish and document the benchmark/status of the project qualitative and quantitative indicators in relation to the objectives and impact areas. The project was inSvay Rieng, Prey Veng, Takeo, Kampot, Kampong Speu, Kmapoung Chhnang, Pursat, Battambang, Banteay Mean Chey, Siem Reap, Sihanuk Vile, Kampong Cham and Kampong Thom. 

YDRC provided the consultancy to conduct baseline survey which cover the following services: 

- Propose the initial Meeting with Heifer PME unit team;

- Develop inception report and action plan for the survey;

- Prepare the baseline survey methodologies and review Heifer baseline survey tools;

- Prepare and provide training on data collection to enumerators;

- Collect, interview, analyze data of the survey;

- Produce the survey report in English;

- Provide presentation of initial findings to Heifer Cambodia team; and

- Finalize report for submitting to Heifer.

Baseline Survey for Sexual Health Facility Project

 In Cambodia, CHAI will partner with the Ministry of Health (MOH) through National Maternal Child Health Center (NMCHC) to initiate a Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) program. In support to program design including monitoring and evaluation indicators and strategic targeted interventions, CHAI proposes the consultancy to conduct the project baseline on Health Facility and Commodity Assessment. This baseline assessment is to identify the availability of sexual and reproductive health services at the health facility level and identify any gaps, which will be filled through a program to increase access to sexual and reproductive health for women. 

YDRC provided the consultancy to conduct project baseline assessment which cover the following services:

- Design study protocol, review data collection tool, and develop data management software;

- Submit study protocol to the National Ethics Committee for Health Research (NECHR) for clearance;

- Conduct training to data collectors to ensure the quality of field data collection;

Supporting Regional Project Development for Association of Southeast Asian Nations Connectivity - Technical and Commercial Advisory Services for the Development of Utility Scale Solar PV Park in Cambodia (TA-8240 REG)

This project is situated in the context of the Scaling Up Renewable Energy Programme for low-income countries(SREP), which aims to improve supply and utilization of renewable energy sources in the country; this will be achieved through: (i) provision of adequate amount and appropriate financing modality to support the development of commercially viable renewable energy resources for power generation; (ii) capacity building to strengthen the government's capability to implement the project; enforce related laws, regulations, and standards; and (iii) consumer awareness through conduct of a nationwide renewable energy awareness campaign with focus on rural communities. The Investment Plan has three investment components: solar energy development, biomass energy development, and policy support and public awareness. TA-8240 REG involves the execution and coordination of the solar energy development component.

Description of actual services for the assignment:

-Project Management. We provided key experts for the project coordination, to ensure the smooth project implementation and effective liaising with multi-stakeholder. 

-Social Impact Assessment. We provided social impact assessment specialists from the following fields:
